Club History

The Otago Deerstalkers Association, established to foster hunting and outdoor activities, was incorporated in 1948, with R.W. Reay serving as its first president. In 1971, the association solidified its presence by purchasing the clubrooms at 53 Malvern Street, providing a dedicated space for members to gather and share their passion for deerstalking. Further expanding their facilities, the association acquired the Beaumont Lodge in 1988, enhancing their capacity to support and promote sustainable hunting practices in the Blue Mountains.
